Certified Placement Services, Recipient of ASBA's Locate48 Grant Award

Phoenix, AZ: CPS is excited to announce that they have received a Locate48 grant award from the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA). The Locate48 initiative by ASBA provides resources and grant funding for small businesses that have expanded and relocated their business to Arizona.

Businesses that are selected to receive the Locate48 grant funding will use the awarded funds to support the growth of their Arizona business, and to support local job seekers and businesses. Grant recipients will be strongly encouraged to contract and hire local businesses and residents to help support the growth of Arizona’s infrastructure and put funding back into the Grand Canyon State.

Join our mission by becoming a CPS Community partner today! As a community partner not only do you get the opportunity to give back to the community but you can do so with absolutely no risk to your business investment.

The Community Based Work Assessment (CBWA) allows CPS employment specialist to assess an individual on the job to determine their ability to maintain employment. Your business role is simply to provide an opportunity for our clients and give feedback on their performance to better assess their potential. The Community Based Job Tryout (CBJT) similarly provides an opportunity to engage in and participate in your business as a partner by involving the prospective employee in the work activities of the current workforce.

These opportunities do not displace any of the current work-force, relieve current employees of duties or responsibilities, nor entitle our clients to any employment after conclusion of the program though we hope our clients exhibit qualities that you desire! Salaries for the CBWA and CBJT are paid for by Kansas State Vocational Rehabilitation (RS) as is any Workman’s Compensation. These programs last for up to two weeks or 80 hrs in length.
